Antique Bamboo Basket from Thailand

This antique woven bamboo basket has an exquisite tight and detailed weave. This basket was originally made to store sticky rice. From the early 1900s, the basket has been well cared for and is in excellent condition with a gorgeous patina. Although you would not use it for food today, it is a beautiful accent piece that would look perfect on a shelf or desk. It is antique and one-of-a-kind and should be handled with care but it is not overly fragile and could be used to store items if you like.
