This piece of art is designed after a Buddhist Alms Bowl. It is black lacquerware with accents in red and genuine gold paint. The hand-painted design is gorgeous and intricate. This artwork would look great on a desk or shelf as a statement piece.
Alms are money, food, or other material goods donated to people living in poverty. Providing alms is often considered an act of charity.
