This vintage lacquerware box is a stunning piece of artwork. The hand-painted design is very ornate and detailed. The elephants and scrolling floral design is a traditional motif from Burmese culture. The gold paint is created using real gold. The interior and bottom are painted a traditional red-orange color. This piece is unique because of the curved shape of the box as well as the pedestal bottom. This artwork would be a beautiful addition to a table top or stood on a shelf. A special addition to your home or office decor.
This vintage item is in excellent condition. There are a few small imperfections that are to be expected in a handmade item of this age.
